Your Most Asked Questions
If your question is not here, call (847) 555-0100 and ask for the director.
What ages do you take?
Six weeks through five years old. Our rooms are Infants (6 weeks to 14 months), Toddlers (15 to 23 months), Early Preschool (2 years old), Preschool (3 years old), Pre-Kindergarten (4 years old) and Kindergarten (5 years old). Summer Camp is for children 2 to 5.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We are open year round and close for major holidays and two staff training days a year. The calendar is in your enrollment packet.
How much is tuition?
Tuition depends on your child's age and how many days a week they attend. Request information and we will email you the current tuition sheet. There is a sibling discount, and founding families receive a discount that we will explain when you ask.
Do you have openings right now?
We are enrolling founding families for our opening in Schaumburg. Request information or call and we will tell you exactly what is open for your child's age and start date.
What curriculum do you use?
Each classroom follows a weekly lesson plan written by the teacher and reviewed by the director, built around language and literacy, math and science, social and emotional skills, physical development, and art and music. Pre-K goals follow the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.
Are meals included?
Yes. We serve breakfast until 8:30, lunch and an afternoon snack, following USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines. For infants you bring breast milk or formula and we follow the feeding schedule you give us.
How do you keep children safe?
One locked entrance with keypad codes, an authorized pickup list with ID checks, fingerprinted and background-checked staff, cameras in every room, daily health checks and monthly drills. Our Safety and Care page goes through each of these.
How will I know what my child did today?
Your child's teacher posts meals, naps, diaper changes, photos and notes to the parent app during the day. You can message the teacher in the app, and the director calls you directly if anything happens.
What are your teachers' qualifications?
Every employee is fingerprinted and cleared through Illinois DCFS and holds Pediatric CPR and First Aid. Lead teachers meet or exceed DCFS qualifications for their age group, and many hold a CDA or a degree in early childhood education.
How do I enroll?
Request information, tour, pick a schedule, then sign the enrollment agreement and return the Illinois health and immunization forms with the registration fee. Most families finish in one to two weeks.
Is Ashford a franchise?
No. Ashford Academy is owned and operated by a Schaumburg family. There is one location, and the owners are in the building.
Do you offer part-time schedules?
Yes. Two-day, three-day and five-day schedules are available in every room, subject to openings.
Still have a question?
Tour the academy, or send us a few details and we will email you the tuition sheet and current openings. You can also call (847) 555-0100.
